Founded after the end of the War of Unity, this order prioritizes expanding one's knowledge and defending the innocent from danger. The Theurgic Knights are devoted to the Philomath and the Valor. Their troops are extremely varied, everything from Abjuration Wizards to martial fighters who study their method of combat with a scholarly passion.

Knowledge is strength. Power is for duty. Purge twisted arts.

The Theurgic Knights are a guild that split off from the Dawn Knights within the last 100 years. They embody the will of both The Valor, the god of bravery and martial combat, and The Philomath, the god of wizardry and scholars. Their members practice this dual worship in many ways, whether that be studying forms of combat with academic precision or using spells to bolster their allies and allow them to be a bigger threat on the front lines. They often help the ZIMs and regularly deal with zagic mutants that escape the Twisted Woods and help escort VIPs through the Twisted Woods when necessary. They also help the Dawn Knights when called upon, as well as anyone else who requires their unique skill set. Theurgic Knights may learn necromancy and other taboo magic such as demon summoning in order to better recognize and counter it, but their cultural roots are in Yamen which gives them a distaste for actually practicing such magic. It is not outright forbidden but with some exception Theurgic Knights will likely only use such spells if the situation was truly dire. As for other wizards, the Theurgic Knights respect the pursuit of knowledge in all forms, even in fields they personally find unpleasant, and would not interfere with such endeavors unless they put others at harm. Their leader and founder is a half-elf named Caster Hekmatyar, who was an accomplished member of the Dawn Knights but often butted heads with his colleagues over his personal interest and use of magic. The Theurgic Knights are always looking for new recruits to join their ranks, and often hold training sessions and competitions to attract potential members. They also send emissaries to various magic academies and warrior guilds to find promising candidates. While they do not discriminate based on race, gender, or social status, they do have rigorous physical and magical tests that all recruits must pass before being accepted into the guild.
